Guard the self above all.
One verse from Chanakya Niti, which ranks what you are protecting — and puts you at the top.
आपदर्थे धनं रक्षेद् दारान् रक्षेद् धनैरपि।
आत्मानं सततं रक्षेद् दारैरपि धनैरपि॥
āpadarthe dhanaṃ rakṣed dārān rakṣed dhanair api |
ātmānaṃ satataṃ rakṣed dārair api dhanair api ||
“Save wealth against the day of calamity. Protect the household, even at the cost of that wealth. But guard the self always — even above the household, even above the wealth.”

What it means
Reading the verse.
This is a ranking, not three pieces of advice. Each line spends the thing above it: wealth is spent to protect the household, and the household itself is ranked below the person. Read in order, it is a hierarchy of what you sacrifice first.
The last line is easy to misread as selfishness. It is the opposite. The self here is the one who earns the wealth and holds the household together — it is placed highest because it is the source of the other two, not because it matters more. Protect everything else at the cost of yourself and, in the end, there is no one left protecting any of it.

Health is not the thing you spend last
The verse puts it first in priority and last in what may be sacrificed. A business rescued at the cost of the person who ran it was not rescued.
Integrity is part of what is being guarded
A reputation spent to close one deal cannot be bought back with the proceeds.
Reserves come before expansion
The first line is plain: wealth exists for the day of calamity. Building without a reserve inverts the order the verse sets.
