Chapter Verticals
Verticals are the working councils of the federation. Each chapter constitutes all thirteen, each with its own convenor and yearly charter, so that a member’s profession, service or stage of life has a place to be useful.
Verticals are not programmes
The Brahmin Business Network and the Vipra Innovation Forum are programmes: platforms the federation runs and a member takes part in. A vertical is different. It is a standing council inside a chapter — a group of members organised around a field of work, with office-bearers, a charter and an account of what it did that year.
No vertical is priced, and none is bought. Every member of a chapter may serve in any vertical whose work they can contribute to.
The thirteen
Doctors, surgeons, researchers and health-system builders who carry the community’s duty of care into every chapter.
Business, Finance & EntrepreneurshipOwners, financiers and operators building enterprises — and the capital, counsel and customers that let them compound.
Science, Technology & InnovationEngineers, scientists and technologists — the lineage of Aryabhata, working on what comes next.
Education, Research & Skill DevelopmentTeachers, scholars and trainers — the vertical that turns the community’s oldest vocation into present-day opportunity.
Manufacturing, Infrastructure & MobilityThe members who build physical things — factories, roads, buildings, fleets — and the trades that keep them running.
Agriculture, Energy & SustainabilityLand, water, food and power — stewardship of the resources every other vertical quietly depends on.
Law, Governance & Public LeadershipAdvocates, judges, civil servants and public representatives — niti and statecraft in their present-day form.
Defense, Space & National SecurityServing officers, veterans, space and strategic professionals — and the families who carry the cost of that service.
Media, Arts & Cultural HeritageJournalists, artists, musicians, priests and archivists — the vertical that keeps the tradition audible and accurate.
Community, Global Relations & Social ImpactThe vertical that binds chapters to each other — diaspora relations, welfare, relief and the seva that reaches beyond the community.
Women Leadership & EmpowermentFormerly the Women’s Council — a standing council in every chapter, with its own leadership, budget and programme.
Youth Leadership & DevelopmentThe chapter’s next generation — given real responsibility now, not a seat reserved for later.
Startups & Innovation EcosystemFounders, angels and operators — the chapter-level ecosystem that feeds the Vipra Innovation Forum.
If your chapter has not yet constituted a vertical you want to serve in, say so — a vertical begins with the members willing to run it.
