Chapter Vertical

Agriculture, Energy & Sustainability.

Land, water, food and power — stewardship of the resources every other vertical quietly depends on.

Stewardship

Agriculture, Energy & Sustainability.

Dharma toward the land is not a metaphor for the members who farm it. This council serves them, and the energy and environment work that now sits alongside farming.

The Agriculture, Energy & Sustainability Council brings together farmers, agri-business owners, food processors, veterinarians, renewable-energy developers and environmental professionals. It moves practical knowledge — crop practice, market prices, subsidy and scheme access, solar economics — between chapters, and runs the federation’s environmental seva at chapter level.

What this vertical does

Six areas of work.

01

Farming practice & inputs

Crop guidance, soil health, irrigation and collective input purchasing.

02

Market access

Direct farm-to-member and farm-to-market channels that cut intermediaries.

03

Agri-processing & value add

Food processing, packaging and branding for member producers.

04

Renewable energy

Solar, biogas and efficiency projects for member homes, farms and units.

05

Water & environment seva

Water-body restoration, tree planting and waste programmes run by chapters.

06

Schemes & subsidies

Navigating government schemes, credit and insurance available to farmers.

How a vertical runs

The same structure in every chapter.

Verticals are departments of the federation, not features of a membership. No member pays to belong to one: every member of a chapter may join any vertical whose work they can contribute to.

STEP 1Council

Every chapter constitutes the vertical as a standing council with its own convenor and members.

STEP 2Charter

The council agrees a yearly charter — what it will run, for whom, and how it will be judged.

STEP 3Programme

It runs its own calendar of sessions, clinics, camps and referrals through the year.

STEP 4Account

It reports to the chapter and to the federation, so the work is visible and comparable.

Who this is for

You belong here if you are …

  • Farmers and agricultural landholders
  • Agri-business, food-processing and dairy entrepreneurs
  • Agronomists, veterinarians and soil scientists
  • Renewable-energy developers and engineers
  • Environmental and sustainability professionals

Join the Agriculture, Energy & Sustainability vertical in your chapter.

Membership of the federation comes first — the verticals then open to you at no additional cost. Tell your chapter which vertical you want to serve in.
