Chapter Vertical

Community, Global Relations & Social Impact.

The vertical that binds chapters to each other — diaspora relations, welfare, relief and the seva that reaches beyond the community.

One federation

Community, Global Relations & Social Impact.

A federation with chapters on five continents needs someone whose actual job is keeping them one body. That is this council.

The Community, Global Relations & Social Impact Council handles member welfare, diaspora connection, disaster relief and the federation’s social work. It settles members who move between countries, runs the chapter’s welfare fund for families in distress, coordinates relief when a chapter region is struck, and carries out seva that is offered to everyone, not only to members.

What this vertical does

Six areas of work.

01

Member welfare

Confidential support for families facing illness, bereavement or hardship.

02

Relocation & diaspora

Settling members moving between countries — documents, schools, community.

03

Disaster relief

Coordinated federation response when a chapter region is affected.

04

Inter-chapter relations

Keeping chapters connected, twinned and exchanging people and programmes.

05

Social seva

Food, education and health work offered beyond the community.

06

Matrimony & family support

Dignified, member-verified support for families seeking alliances.

How a vertical runs

The same structure in every chapter.

Verticals are departments of the federation, not features of a membership. No member pays to belong to one: every member of a chapter may join any vertical whose work they can contribute to.

STEP 1Council

Every chapter constitutes the vertical as a standing council with its own convenor and members.

STEP 2Charter

The council agrees a yearly charter — what it will run, for whom, and how it will be judged.

STEP 3Programme

It runs its own calendar of sessions, clinics, camps and referrals through the year.

STEP 4Account

It reports to the chapter and to the federation, so the work is visible and comparable.

  • Relief and disaster-response volunteers
  • Members able to support families in distress

Join the Community, Global Relations & Social Impact vertical in your chapter.

Membership of the federation comes first — the verticals then open to you at no additional cost. Tell your chapter which vertical you want to serve in.
