Chapter Vertical

Media, Arts & Cultural Heritage.

Journalists, artists, musicians, priests and archivists — the vertical that keeps the tradition audible and accurate.

Voice & memory

Media, Arts & Cultural Heritage.

A tradition survives in two ways: it is practised, and it is recorded accurately. This council does both.

The Media, Arts & Cultural Heritage Council gathers journalists, editors, filmmakers, classical musicians and dancers, writers, temple priests, archivists and heritage conservationists. It is responsible for how the community speaks publicly, for supporting artists who sustain classical forms, and for recording lineages, manuscripts and temple traditions before they are lost.

What this vertical does

Six areas of work.

01

Community newsroom

Chapter correspondents feeding accurate, verified news to the federation.

02

Classical arts patronage

Performance opportunities and support for musicians, dancers and vocalists.

03

Heritage documentation

Recording lineages, manuscripts, temple practice and oral tradition.

04

Purohit & ritual practice

Supporting practising priests and preserving correct ritual procedure.

05

Film, writing & publishing

Members producing books, documentaries and long-form work on the community.

06

Public narrative

Responding to public misrepresentation with evidence rather than volume.

How a vertical runs

The same structure in every chapter.

Verticals are departments of the federation, not features of a membership. No member pays to belong to one: every member of a chapter may join any vertical whose work they can contribute to.

STEP 1Council

Every chapter constitutes the vertical as a standing council with its own convenor and members.

STEP 2Charter

The council agrees a yearly charter — what it will run, for whom, and how it will be judged.

STEP 3Programme

It runs its own calendar of sessions, clinics, camps and referrals through the year.

STEP 4Account

It reports to the chapter and to the federation, so the work is visible and comparable.
