8. The Ekam-Vipra Mobile App

Ekam-Vipra is the official mobile app of the International Brahmin Federation, published by the Federation on Google Play. This section describes what the app does with your data, in addition to everything stated above.

When you sign in to the app and use it, the app sends the following to the Federation’s own servers:

●

Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo

●

Your membership, chapter and event registration details

●

Messages you send and receive through the app

●

Photos you choose to upload, including images you add to a shareable design

The app asks for device permissions only for the features that need them: the camera to take a profile photo or scan an event entry code, photos and media to let you pick an image to upload, and notifications to tell you about announcements, events and replies. You can refuse or withdraw any of these permissions in your device settings; only the feature that needs the permission stops working.

All data sent by the app travels over an encrypted connection. The app contains no advertising, does not use an advertising identifier, and the Federation does not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

9. Deleting Your Account and Data

You can ask us at any time to delete your Ekam-Vipra account and the personal data held with it. The steps, what is deleted and what we are obliged to keep are set out on our Delete Your Account page.
